Because of your efforts we won Best Series of 2006 on YouTube. A YouTubey.

The media has been calling a lot today, so keep your eyes peeled for the Ninja.

Not to get too corny, but the key is YOU. You send in the questions. You keep us pumped about what we're doing.

When we started Ask A Ninja, Douglas and I were at the lowest point of our careers. We had nothing but an inspiration to start a gmail account.

And you sent in questions, we started laughing and then the whole world came in on the joke.

So thank you. We owe you a lot and I hope we can continue to entertain you for years to come.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for being a pest about this YouTube thing over the last week.

It's just that I have a feeling that the media is going to go apeshit over the winners, and I think that it would be hilarious to see the Ninja get interviewed on some show like the Today show. (I giggle when I think about that).

Your efforts have put the Ninja back in the lead. But I know all of the other shows right now are trying to knock us down the list.

Well there I was on youtube, minding my own busness, injoying a funny video, and then... at the end. OTHER video links.. appear ON THE PLAYER!? Whats worse, is there is now a pop up button "NEXT" that comes up on the bottom right if your mouse "hovers" near the bottom, if you click this, videos that are "next" (after your video, or the one you are watching) appear, again , IN THE VIDEO WINDOW. The reasion this is a problem....

I Don't WANT this to desplay! Its bad enough, on the side is videos that are taged with things like the video I'm watching, people can post video responces. All this is OK. But, this is too far. It ruins the injoyment of the video, makes me not want to watch anything. I dont want to even SEE other videos that I'm not watching. Those that appear within the window are not ones I want to see. If I do, they are also on the SIDE! There is no REASION to do this!!!!

I've writen youtube.com - useing there (haha) handy "contact us" deal, asking how I can get rid of this feature, its not one I'm happy with, its one I want gone. I recomend that if you injoy youtube movies that you do this too, its only a matter of time before our (and everyone elses) videos are spamed out of being watchable, and thats what this is, unwanted spam at the begining (with the next button) and the end of videos.

BAD BAD move youtube! Then, also think about this- they could put only videos there that are payed for/director videos....

this ruins the community of youtube and must be stoped, NOW.

New Video Format

So here's what's happening. We did a test with Revver.com on our Pirates of the Carribean review.

It went pretty well, we made some okay money and the ad is pretty unobtrusive at the very end of the video. And the best part is that we don't have to waste time selling the ad. We can just spend time making the videos. w00t!

That means we are going to consolidate down to one format, Quicktime with embedded MP4. (We'll add back Flash when Revver figures out how to make it work in the next few weeks).

Hoepfully, this won't effect too many of you (98% of you use Quicktime) but to those that it does you'll still be able to enjoy the Ninja somehow.

Again Douglas, the Ninja, and me all really appreciate your support and enthusiasm for what we're doing. We're still just trying to figure out how to continue to do this fulltime and how to keep getting better and funnier.

With these changes we will be able to be more consistent with the episodes (and heck maybe even go to two or three episodes a week).

You tube, a community video file share system has done it finaly, they have made the most dumbest contest ever!

This is a featured video explaining the idea on the main page of youtube. HOW COULD I RESIST? So I just used my web cam thats crappy and made a wonderfull video starting my Crab and Porygon.

Please vote for my video add as yourfav and add a comment, all this will incress my uber-coolness factor and I might have a chance to "win" what will I win, goodness knows. Maybe I will get featured. I have no idea.

Thanks for all of the support and offers. We're back up at Youtube! And it looks like it was just some sort of error that we were swept up in.

Thanks to Micah (who has been working to resolve this since yesterday) and we also just recieved a note from Steve Chen a YouTube founder and the CTO:

a complete accident on our part. we are handed these dmca takedown
notices that we comply with. in this case, the URL takedown list
that we received was over-encompassing and it took down your videos
by accident. my apologies. we have brought back ALL your videos.
